We recently completed a landmark field test of the VoidRay vehicle computer aboard D Aerospace's Azriel heavy-carrier drone, achieving flawless 4G telemetry at 10 km with 99% connection quality throughout the mission.
Test Setup & Objectives
- Platform: D Aerospace's Azriel heavy-lift UAV, designed for professional use with up to 40 min flight time, 10 kg payload, and 20 km range
- Computing: NVIDIA Jetson-based VoidRay 0.1 onboard, running SkyCore OS with ROS2/MAVROS and LTE-enabled remote link
- Goal: Validate extended-range telemetry and control over 4G LTE using our VoidRay + SkyHub solution
Mission Highlights
- Achieved persistent 4G telemetry (99% signal strength) throughout flight, up to 10 km
- All mission waypoints, video stream, and telemetry were logged and monitored in real-time, with zero loss
- Post-flight data integrity remained flawless—navigation and sensor logs were complete, verifying mission success
This successful test demonstrates the reliability of our VoidRay companion computer for extended-range operations over cellular networks.
